Cabinet meeting news in brief

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During the Cabinet’s regular meeting on August 1, the following decisions were made:
- The Cabinet assigned to take immediate control and actions over each of the provisions assigned to the Cabinet, Ministers, Agency heads, Governors of aimags and the capital city by decision of the State Great Khural and the Standing Committees, President's Decree, decision of the National Security Council and the Cabinet.
- Minister D.Sumyabazar introduced the preparation work being implemented in connection with upcoming trade of 30 percent of the total shares of Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC on international markets. The number of persons capable of performing goods, services and techniques requiring high proficiency, experience and skills are limited. Therefore, the Cabinet considered it proper to select by tender the legal, technical and other evaluation consultants, legal bodies capable of performing the works and provide services.
- The Cabinet decided to introduce the implementation of the ‘Baganuur 700 MW power plant’ project to the National Security Council and get directions on further implementation.
- Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs, Labor and Social Protection, Health, Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar were assigned to study and improve the social welfare policy and regulations towards unemployed, homeless people. In the first half of the year, 1375 homeless people were registered. According to the survey, more than a half of these people are aged between 18-45.
