‘Scourge of God’ ballet to reveal Atilla’s epic story

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Scourge of God’ ballet by State Foremost Artist, music composer and choreographer A.Batdelger to be staged at the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet on June 23, 24.

The ballet will be performed again after seven years, featuring 11 graduates of the Perm State Ballet School of Russia.

Atilla the Hun, his courage, glory and story of shaking the nations are shown in the ballet. He was the most feared enemy of the Roman emperors, who gave him the nickname ‘Scourge of God’.

The ‘Scourge of God’ will be conducted by the Stanford University professor Jindong Cai. His wife Sheila Melvin wrote an article about Mongolian ballet for the ‘New York Times’ magazine.

In addition, conductor Jindong Cai shared his plan on staging the ballet not only in Mongolia, but all over the world.
