Foreign Minister receives Ambassador of Finland to Mongolia Jarno Syrjala

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 19, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Mongolia Jarno Syrjälä.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current condition of bilateral relations and cooperation, further actions and regional and global issues of common interest.

Minister D.Tsogtbaatar expressed willingness to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in the sectors of common interest including agriculture and foresty, increase trade and investment between the two countries and organize joint business meetings. Ambassador Jarno Syrjälä stated that he will focus on deepening trade and economic cooperation, highlighting that this year marks 55th year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Finland. He also noted the ongoing preparation for the annual meeting of Mongolia-Finland Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation in Helsinki, September, 2018.
