Foreign State Secretary meets Japanese Foreign Ministry official

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren met Deputy Director-General of Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr.Fumio Shimizu who is attending the Fifth International Conference ‘Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security’, exchanging views on bilateral ties and regional matters.
Mr.Fumio Shimizu said Japan consistently supports an initiative ‘Ulaanbaatar Dialogue’ aimed at ensuring regional peace and security and emphasized the conference is taking place in a historic time of positive political attitude in Korean peninsula and active talks by corresponding countries.
State Secretary D.Davaasuren affirmed Mongolia’s intention for strengthening peace and security, making its contribution in regularizing talks between regional countries and deepening mutual trust and expressed aspiration to cooperate closely with Japan in this direction.
The parties underlined the importance of deepening strategic partnership between Mongolia and Japan and expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the region and agreed to strengthen cooperation in these directions.
