Swedish Ambassador at Large Per-Anders Sunesson visits

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar, Ambassador at Large for Combating Trafficking in Persons, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Per-Anders Sunesson is paying a visit to Mongolia from May 28 to June 1.

During his visit Ambassador Per-Anders Sunesson will meet Foreign Affairs Minister,  MPs, representatives from Sub-Council for Prevention of Human Trafficking, the Human Rights Commission, the Mongolian Criminal Police Department and  NGOs that combat human-trafficking. 

The Government of Sweden appointed Per-Anderson Sunesson as Ambassador at Large for Combating Trafficking in Persons in May, 2016. He played a key role to formulate the strategy plan against human-trafficking of the Swedish Government.

Mongolia joined the United Nations Convention on Transnational Organized Crime and its amendment protocols. Moreover, Mongolia adopted the Law on Combating Trafficking in Persons in 2012. Sub-Council for Prevention of Human Trafficking of the Crime Prevention Coordinating Council is implementing the National Program against Human Trafficking between 2017 and 2021.
