Female entrepreneurs competed for MNT 3 million equipment grant

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The final round of business competition hosted by Women’s Business Center (WBC) was held on April 27. Total of nine projects out of 27 were selected in the first round and the entrepreneurs introduced their projects to the judges and other participants.
To support female entrepreneurs the WBC was established in 2016 by the Asia Foundation jointly with the City Municipality with the support of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) .

Various projects including productions on handcraft souvenir for tourists, fancy gifts and high-quality clothes for children competed. Five out of nine projects were selected and received certificates for equipment purchase worth of MNT 3 million each.
The project is being implemented by Development Solutions NGO and Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The WBC authorities noted that the center welcomes all women interested in starting a new business or expanding their businesses.
