Best participants of ‘My Mongolian Script’ competition named

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The third national competition ‘My Mongolian Script’ with aims to outspread cultural heritage of national script and to pass it down to younger generation was held and selected its bests.

A total of 1024 students and teachers registered in the competition were from every corner of Mongolia and from Inner Mongolia and Buryatia and they challenged their skills in five categories.

Calligrapher E.Ariunbold won the first place of the competition in work creation category with a copy of  'Letter from Arghun Khan to Vatican’s Pope’ whereas the first prizes went to Ts.Tserenbaljid, teacher of Erdenebulgan soum of Arkhangai aimag in teacher’s category, T.Munkhnyam, compiler of ‘Tsogt Tsagiin Khurden’ cultural center in adult’s category, D.Odbileg, student of the First  school of Zamiin-Uud soum of Dornogobi aimag in 10-12 class category and B.Enkhchimeg, student of the First Secondary School of Arkhangai aimag in 7-9 class category.  

Moreover, the awards for best of the bests went to B.Munkhtsetseg, student of Mongolian Buddhism School of the International Ulaanbaatar University and to D.Amargarig, teacher of the First secondary school of Sukhbaatar aimag.

"Mongolian script is an inseparable cultural heritage of Mongolians. It is very pleasant to see more and more youths are learning the national script which concerns independence of Mongolia and national security," general organizer of the competition, Lama Kh.Byambajav said.

The Gandantegchinlen Monastery and ‘Mongolian Script Association’ organized the competition in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, National Council on Language Policy and ‘Lavain Egshig’ radio.
