UB proposed to cooperate with LG Electronics in air pollution reduction

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Governor of Capital city S.Batbold received President of ‘LG Electronics’ for Central Asia and other representatives of the company on April 16.
At the beginning of the meeting, Director of LG Electronics office in Mongolia J.Enkhjargal introduced ESS products of LG Electronics, thermo heating system and its integrated solutions to provide heat and electricity using solar heating system.
The LG Electronics Regional President expressed their pleasure for having possibility to exchange opinions with Ulaanbaatar authorities on cooperation and introducing their solution to reduce air pollution of Ulaanbaatar city and lower the harmful effects of air pollution using cutting-edge products of LG Electronics. He said that it costs USD 9000-10000 to buy ESS product, thermo heating system and solar heating for 35-40 square meter area. It is possible to negotiate on price issue if the system is applied in a wide number of households. Moreover, the Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar city in cooperation with the Government of Mongolia is possible to provide the system to citizens with long-term loan. The Government of Korea solved its air pollution problem in this way."
In response, S.Batbold said, “We are striving to reduce air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city. We are also having many proposal from other countries to cooperate on this matter. The priority issue for us is to find solution appropriate to household income level”. He emphasized the necessity to solve energy, heating and heat loss issues in complex to tackle air pollution.
