Proposal to establish Mongolia-Russian joint logistic center in Altanbulag supported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Within the framework of intensification of activity of Altanbulag free economic zone, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with Russian Trade Representation Office in Ulaanbaatar organized a working meeting between Mongolia and Russia in the free economic zone on April 16.   
 
At the meeting, current condition of activity of Altanbulag free zone, short-term goals, prospective and opportunities and advantages for investors and traders were presented. Mongolian part explained routes of biggest infrastructure projects including AH3 Asian highway network which connect Asia and Europe and the main railway corridor would pass through the  Altanbulag free zone and possibiliteis of exporting their goods  with Made-in Mongolia label under favorable conditions to European Union and Japanese markets, in case of investing in the free economic zone.
 
The Mongolian part put proposals to ncrease entrance capacity of Kyakhta border checkpoint of Russia including opening of a special gate to promote operation of the Altanbulag free zone,  and to establish Mongolia-Russian joint logistic center in Altanbulag. The Russian part expressed their acceptance and support of the proposals.
