Mongolia to expand agriculture cooperation with Romania

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry J.Saule received Non-resident Ambassador of Romania to Mongolia Basil Vasilica Constantinescu on April 3.

At the beginning of the meeting Ambassador Vasilica Constantinescu urged to organize regular consultative meetings between the Ministries of Agriculture of the two countries. He said that Romania is willing to support  private sector cooperation in veterinary and zootechnics and expand cooperation in pastureland and water resource research.

Ambassador also mentioned that Romania is the largest producer of organic food in Europe and ranks high on wheat exports and said that it is possible to cooperate in sharing of new management methods and technologies in agriculture, training and retraining of specialists.

Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry J.Saule expressed his gratitude for the effort to develop  agricultural sector cooperation of two countries and emphasized the possibility to cooperate in all spheres. She also expressed her willingness to cooperate in increasing the capacity of agricultural sector, introducing technical and technological achievements, training the specialists and increasing the capacity of veterinary units and laboratories to be established in soums and districts.

Ambassador Basil Vasilica Constantinescu said that her request will be officially submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and invited the Deputy Minister to visit Romania and learn more about its agricultural sector.
