Ts.Tsolmon attends Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Secretary General of Parliamentary Office of Mongolia Ts.Tsolmon is attending the138th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Switzerland. About 70 Secretary Generals of Parliament around the world are participating in the assembly.

The main topic of this year's assembly is 'Parliament and Government'. Secretary General of Parliamentary Office Ts.Tsolmon has participated in the discussion introducing activities of the parliament and laws of Mongolia and he also had bilateral meetings.

He held his first meeting with South Korean National Assembly's Secretary General Kim Sung-gon. During the meeting Mr.Tsolmon expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Korea for funding and providing technical assistance for implementation of 'Online parliament' project. He also emphasized that by implementing this project meeting halls of standing committees and plenary session are updated with modern audio and video equipment. 

The sides exchanged views on deepening and developing relations between the two parliaments, including Parliamentary Offices in the future.

After meeting with Kim Sung-gon,  Mr.Tsolmon met with the Secretary General of National Council of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland Philippe Schwab. During the bilateral meeting with Mr. Philippe Schwab he highligted the fast developing interparliamentary relations and emphasized to continue to develop relations between the two countries. They, also agreed to continue the training of  Mongolian Parliamentary Office personnel in Switzerland.
