Mongolian researchers attend Nobel Laureate meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian young researchers are attending the 10th Hope meeting with Nobel Laureates, being held under the theme ‘The Future of Food’ in Yokohama, Japan on March 12-15.

The 10th HOPE Meeting with Nobel Laureates is running with participation of 106 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from over 20 countries.  

Representing Mongolia, O.Nandin-Erdene, Head of the Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the National Center for Public Health and T.Atarsaikhan, Head of the Plant Genetic Resources Sector of the Darkhan Plant Science and Agricultural Research Institute delivered presentations themed ‘Hepatitis infection among Mongolians and its threat to public health’ and ‘Plant genetic resources and its usage’.

During the meeting, the Nobel Laureates including Tim Hunt, J.Georg Bedhorz, Makoto Kpbayashi, Takaaki Kajita, K.Barry Sharpless, Ada Yonath and J.Fraser Stoddart ran discussions and gave advises to young researchers.
