Aircraft reassembled by Mongolian engineers to fly from April

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The engineers at MIAT Mongolian Airlines are gearing up to take the first TVS-2MS aircraft for its maiden flight in April. The aircraft is an upgraded and re-engined version of AN-2 passenger biplane. Engineers started the reassembly work of the aircraft in November last year and have finished in January this year.
 
“At the moment there are two aircrafts upgraded with TPE331 turbo engine, AN-2 wings and body and Hartzell Propeller Inc fans ready” said the technical director of MIAT, T.Ayush at the MRO Russia and CIS 2018 convention. He also commented that plane production is in the process of testing, so they are not receiving any orders yet.
 
 MIAT Mongolian Airlines has currently 22 engineers and plans to send 17 more engineers for training to Novosibirsk.
