Minister discusses defense cooperation with Russian counterpart

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ministry of Defense N.Enkhbold attended an honorary event on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23, which also marked the centenary of the Russian Red Army.

The Minister had an audience with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu and expressed his gratitude for the invitation.

During the meeting with his Russian counterpart, the Minister discussed bilateral defense cooperation and the outlook for 2018 and the medium term.

The Russian Defense Ministry expressed its readiness to support Mongolia’s weaponry renovation and military personal training.
