Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Secretaries of the Presiduim of Citizens' Representative Meeting of aimags, Ulaanbaatar city and districts are having a meeting.

The Parliament Office of Mongolia and the United Nations Development Programme is jointly implementing  a project  Strengthening of Local Self-Governing Bodies in Mongolia, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and within the framework of this project  the secretaries' meeting is being held on 29-31 January  in Ulaanbaatar.

Participants of the seminar are exchanging their views on  reflecting the Sustainable Development Goals in their local planning and resolve environmental issues caused by mining operations, improving the decision making processes of the meetings and ensuring citizens' participation and they will develop an action plan. 
 
Strengthening of Local Self-Governing Bodies in Mongolia project will be implemented in 2017-2020 and it will support institutional strengthening of Citizens Representative Meetings through improving legal and institutional environment, the organisational capacity and individual competencies of the meeting representatives.
