Yo.Baatarbileg: We will focus attention to improve cultural laws and regulations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting with representatives of cultural organizations was jointly held by Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports and Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social policy, Education, Culture and Science on January 10 within the scope of actions to supervise realization of Laws on Culture and Protection of Cultural Heritage, to improve legal environment of culture sector, and to formulate recommendations and conclusions.
At the beginning of the meeting, Head of the Standing committee Yo.Baatarbileg pointed out purpose of the meeting is to listen professionals and employees' opinions on improving legal environment of cultural sector, making proper regulations and formulating policies targeted to raise cultural sector's position and its contribution to development of the country and to protect and promote cultural wealth, heritage and tradition.
Furthermore, a working group was established and is formulating draft laws on film, on Museum and amendment bill of Law on Culture, he informed.

It is important to increase accountability of the organizations in charge of cultural issue and to intensify their activities for implementation of the law on Protection of Cultural Heritage , noted MP G.Munkhtsetseg.
Minister Ts.Tsogzolmaa delivered detailed report on policies and other actions to be implemented in the cultural sector.
