J.Dagvasamba, J.Munkhbat named as National best reciter and panegyrist

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 7th National Competition of Panegyrists was held on November 11-12, co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Department of Arts and Culture of the captial city  and Mongolian Panegyrists Center.    

In frame of implementation of state policy on culture and regulations the competition aims to revive and retain laud and panegyric which are special types of intangible cultural heritage of Mongolian nation and to pass it down to young generation as well as make  panegyrists famous.  
 
The first stage of the competition was attended by 59 persons. In the next stage 30 talented people challenged their mind and skills, competing in laud and panegyric and  directly panegyrizing under chosen topics.
 
The average age of participants was 42 and G.Dugersuren was the eldest participant who is 77 years old.
 
In the category of laud (blessing) the first prize went to J.Dagvasamba participated from Umnugobi aimag, second prize to S.Munkhjargal from Orkhon aimag, third prize to D.Amarbayar from Bayankhongor aimag and special prize to I.Munkhbayar from Zavkhan aimag.
 
In the category of panegyric the awards received by J.Munkhbat from Ulaanbaatar, Ts.Duinkhersuren from Darkhan-uul aimag, Ch.Erdenebaatar from Ulaanbaatar and G.Namsrai from Uvs aimag. 
 
During the competition the Department of Arts and Culture of the captial city organized a discussion among panegyrists and they  exchanged views on the current state of laud and panegyric use, essence and roots,  its future prospective.
