MONTSAME’s director attends information discussion at SPIEF 2017

St. Petersburg /MONTSAME/ The Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2017 commenced on Thursday. Director General of MONTSAME News Agency B.Ganchimeg took part in the discussion dubbed “False and True Information: Pressing issues of contemporary information world”, organized by TASS Agency of Russia.
Representatives of major information agencies from around the world discussed about how to identify validity of information in these times of ever-growing sources and channels, from where infinite number of information flows out to the public.
Keynote speakers were Mr Leonid Gusman, chairman of the Russian Committee of the UNESCO International Programme for Development of Communication, and Mr Giuseppe Cerbone, Director of ANSA Agency, and main presentations were given by leaders of France Press Agency, Russian TASS, Kyodo News and Associated Press.
