Cooperation agreement with Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs renewed after 16 years

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, May 31, a revised agreement for cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was signed by the Ministers, revising the agreement after 16 years.
Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation A.V.Kolokoltsev is paying a visit to Mongolia at the invitation of his Mongolian counterpart, and the two Ministers met at the State House in Ulaanbaatar today. Mongolian Justice Minister S.Byambatsogt noted that relations and cooperation of the ministries have been actively developing and yielding results. He also expressed gratitude for training officers in the field of justice and home affairs in Russia and for experience sharing of Russian agencies and institutions, according to a cooperation protocol established last year.
Minister S.Byambatsogt put forward proposals to closely cooperate toward the implementation of a National Program on Fight against the Circulation of Narcotic Drugs and Psychoactive Substances, which was adopted by the Government last March, and to conduct trainings by inviting training experts.
On May 31, Minister A.V.Kolokoltsev also paid courtesy calls on Parliamentary Speaker M.Enkhbold and Deputy PM U.Khurelsukh. The Russian Minister of Internal Affairs is paying a visit to Mongolia after 15 years since his visit in 2002.
