PM J.Erdenebat meets State Counsellor of Myanmar in Beijing

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the sidelines of his participation in the Belt and Road Summit in Bejing, Prime Minister J.Erdenebat met with Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of Myanmar.

Conveying the warm greetings from Ts.Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia to the State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of increasing a number of tourists and of reciprocal travels between the citizens in order to develop bilateral ties and economic cooperation of Mongolia and Myanmar. 
 
“We have a lot of things to learn from Mongolia, firstly being the Mongolia's experience of building political democracy through economic reform and social change in a peaceful manner" said Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi.

Also, she kindly requested Mongolia, member of the United Nations Human Rights Council, to assist on adopting positive conclusion of the Council on issues of human rights violation in northern regions of Myanmar.
