Collaboration meeting runs on accreditation of hospital lab
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Authority of Standardization and Measurement (ASM) last week held a cooperation meeting on accreditation of hospital laboratory.
The meeting was co-organized together with Prof. Katsuo Kubono, the general manager of the Strategy and Planning Division of the Japan Accreditation Board (JAB) and member of the Japan Society of Clinical Chemistry (JSCC); and Ms Masako Koguchi, a consultant to the Sysmex Corporation and accreditation evaluation expert at the JAB. Present were Ts.Enkhjargal, a head of the Mongolian Union of Clinical Laboratory Experts (MUCLE); O.Azzaya, an expert at the Department of Social Health; G.Naran, a consultant to the 3rd hospital of UB; and B.Bulgan, an officer at the Sysmex Corporation.
Leader of the Accreditation Office S.Gantsetseg made a presentation about accreditation works in Mongolia; a chief expert D.Tsetsegmaa--about a system of medical organizations and accreditation of clinical laboratory; and Prof. Katsuo Kubono--about an accreditation system of clinical laboratory in Japan, international cooperation and significance of accreditation.
The attendees exchanged views on cooperation with the JAB.
The Mongolia’s Ministry of Health and Sport and the MUCLE is cooperating with the Sysmex Corporation of Mongolia in improving an accuracy level of clinical laboratories’ results and taking several-phase measures.
Within the cooperation, a workshop on the ISO 15189:2012 standard (Medical laboratories-Requirements for quality and competence) will be held on April 7-8, 2016 for managers and experts at clinical laboratories.
