Shooters to compete in World Cup in Thailand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Women shooters of the national selected team O.Gundegmaa, Ts.Monkhzul and G.Nandinzaya have left for Thailand to participate in the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup, which kicked off Wednesday in Bangkok.

Over 330 athletes from 49 countries arrived in Thailand to compete in the World Cup tournament, which offers the last chance to achieve Minimum Qualification Scores before the 2016 Olympic Games.

The ISSF Technical Delegate Willi Grill welcomed the participants on behalf of the International Shooting Sport Federation at the opening ceremony. “The ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raсa and the ISSF Secretary-General Franz Schreiber send their best regards to you all. To be back in Bangkok, four years after our last event here, is a dream that comes true,” said Mr Grill.

The Mongolian shooters are competing in women’s 25m pistol contest.
