B.Gangaamaa to conquer Mount Carstensz Pyramid

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The first Mongolian woman to reach the highest peak of earth, the State Honored Sportswoman B.Gangaamaa has announced she will conquer Mt. Carstensz Pyramid in Papua Province of Indonesia.

Gangaamaa said she intends to start her exercises this March and to conquer the Mount within this year. For the time being, no Mongolian mountaineer has conquered Mt. Carstensz Pyramid, Gangaamaa noted and added she has "to learn the Mount carefully and to shed much weight".

Mount Carstensz Pyramid or Puncak Jaya is the highest summit of Mount Carstensz is located in the Sudirman Range of the western central highlands of Papua Province, Indonesia

At 4,884 m (16,024 ft) above sea level, Mount Carstensz Pyramid is the highest mountain in Indonesia, the highest on the island of New Guinea. It is also the highest point between the Himalayas and the Andes, and the highest island peak in the world.

As of present, Gangaamaa has conquered Mount Everest (8,848 m), Mount Aconcagua (6,962 m), Mount McKinley (6,194 m), Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) and Mount Elbrus (5,642 m). She is ambitious to conquer all the Seven Summits.
