Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare at “Hour of Minister” meeting
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of January of this year, 999 thousand children aged up to 18 years old who are registered in the family data or 97.0% of all children have the right to receive the children’s benefits from the Human Development Fund (HDF).
It was said by S.Erdene, the Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare, at the “Hour of Minister” on Thursday. It is expected the children’s benefits for January and February will be granted from Friday, he said.
Noting that the law on surviving spouse's pension was passed in December of 2015, the Minister emphasized this law has a significance for improving the livelihood of elders and increasing the values of families. He added that parliament has adopted the law on reserve of future pension and a new version of the law on health insurance.
