Consultative meeting runs on foreign relations, defense and security
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A regular consultative meeting took place Thursday in Tokyo of Japan between Mongolia and Japan's bodies of foreign relations, security and defense affairs.
The sides exchanged views on ways of strengthening the bilateral strategic partnership, expanding the cooperation in security and defense spheres, particularly in making the Korean Peninsula separate from nuclear weapons.
From our side, the meeting was chaired by G.Amartuvshin, a director of the Department of Policy and Planning Regulations of Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mongolia was also represented by G.Byambasuren, a deputy director of MFA’s Department of Asia, Middle-East and African Affairs; Brigadier-General Ch.Sosorbaram, a head of the External Relations Department of the Defense Ministry; and Bataa, a chief expert at the National Security Council.
