Mongolian children grab medals in mental calculating world championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A junior team of Mongolia successfully competed in the World championship for Japanese abacus (soroban) mental calculation which took place this December 5-6 in New Delhi, India.

The World championships were attended by one thousand children from some 60 countries. Mongolia was represented by 30 children led by T.Tuya, a head of the Mongolian Association for Soroban.  E.Amarjargal won a golden Cup, other five children captured silver Cups.
