Minister of Health submits bill on medical aid and services

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Health and Sport G.Shiilegdamba Wednesday submitted to R.Gonchigdorj, a Vice Speaker, a draft law on medical aid and services.

As of present, some 400 state-owned and about 1,500 private hospitals serve for people nationwide, and Mongolia is considered as one of the countries to have a high density of hospital number and beds, said the Minister.

The bill aims to resolve urgent problems in the health sector of Mongolia and to regulate issues which are not reflected in the current law on health. Moreover, the bill reflects clauses on regulations and assistance for ensuring continuation and correlation of medical aid and services, kinds of medical aid and services, types of medical aid organizations, financing and other matters.
