The MongolZ Crowned Champion of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS2 Asia Cup

Ulaanbaatar, January 30, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The thrilling weekend of CS2 action featuring some of the top teams from Asia has concluded, with The MongolZ crowning as the champions of the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2023 CS2 Asia Cup. 


The Grand Finals of the Asia Cup, with a prize pool of USD 50 thousand, took place on January 26–28, 2024, in Shanghai, China.


Among eight teams including Mongolia, China, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Middle East, The MongolZ earned the champion title of eXTREMESLAND CS2 Asia Cup, becoming the first Mongolian team to achieve the grand title of this prestigious tournament. 


Returning to LAN after two years, the tournament saw its first live audience in eight years since 2016, returning to the electrifying atmosphere of cheering fans in 2024.


The MongolZ reached the grand finals by finishing their group without a single loss. They defeated ACME in their opening match, followed by a record-breaking longest CS2 match on LAN against TYLOO, which lasted 54 rounds. In the semi-finals, The MongolZ beat Team NKT, which comprises Mongolian players, with a score of 2-1. Then, with a clean 2-0 victory against Lynn Vision Gaming (China) in the grand finals, The MongolZ topped the podium of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2023, lifting the trophy in front of a live audience and walking away with USD 25 thousand in prize money.
