Ulaanbaatar, December 6, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Today, December 06, 2023, Sandra Choufani, Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia visited MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency.
Director General of MONTSAME, Sodontogos Erdenetsogt wished Ambassador Sandra Choufani success in her new position and introduced the activities and goals of the Agency. The two sides exchanged views on close cooperation to promote Canada in Mongolia and Mongolia in Canada and provide Canadian citizens with knowledge and information about Mongolia.
Ambassador Sandra Choufani noted that she is pleased to come to Mongolia and expressed her commitment to expanding Mongolia-Canada relations and cooperation in all areas. She also noted her intention to work in the field of energy supply in the mining industry and waste management.
Director General E. Sodontogos emphasized that the MONTSAME News Agency pays attention to expanding cooperation with foreign news agencies and expressed interest in establishing relations and cooperating with CBC Canadian public broadcaster. She also noted the Agency's plan to cover the PDAC 2024, the World's Premier Mineral Exploration and Mining Convention, organized in March each year in Canada by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), from the site.
Director General E. Sodontogos expressed the Agency's eagerness to cooperate in the development of journalists, improving their knowledge and skills, and proposed to jointly organize training for journalists.
Ambassador Sandra Choufani expressed her readiness to cooperate and assist in establishing relations with CBC.
