Preference for Physical Copies Among Readers

Ulaanbaatar, May 30, 2023 /MONTSAME/. A sample survey was conducted among a total of 1500 individuals during the National Book Festival with the aim of gathering information and insights regarding their reading habits and preferences. 42.2 percent of the respondents were men and 57.8 percent were women and the average age was 23.72 years. The age range varied from the youngest being 12 years old to the oldest being 80 years old. 

 

The survey revealed that most of the readers prefer physical copies as a notable 88.4 percent of the participants expressed a preference for paperback books. Among them, 69.9 percent opt for new printed books, while 18.5 percent buy used books. Moreover, 11.3 percent of the respondents purchase e-books and audiobooks, while 0.3 percent buy braille books.
