MIAT Mongolian Airlines to conduct direct flights to Doha

Ulaanbaatar, February 13, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The national flag carrier MIAT State Owned Joint-Stock Company has been designated as the air carrier for direct flights between Ulaanbaatar and Doha.
The company will conduct flights between the cities mentioned above by the order of the Minister of Road and Transport Development, dated February 7, 2023. On February 12, the representatives of the Ministry of Road and Transport Development and the Civil Aviation Authority met with the President of the General Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar, Mohamed Faleh Al Hajri. The sides exchanged views on bilateral air relations and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on appointing the national air carriers of the two countries.
The Civil Aviation Authorities of both countries also agreed to establish an Agreement on Air Relations which has been discussed since 2014 in the near future. After this agreement is established, the two countries' air carriers will be able to operate direct and commercial flights.
