Foreign Minister meets Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Trade

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg on August 2 received Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Quoc Khanh.
At the
meeting, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg exchanged views on issues of relations
and cooperation between the two countries, and noted that the traditional friendly
relations and cooperation established with Vietnam take an important place in
Mongolia's foreign policy. While noting that Mongolia strives to activate
political dialogue with Vietnam at all levels and to expand and strengthen the
scope of cooperation, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg expressed satisfaction with
the stable progress of political relations between the two countries.
Moreover,
the Foreign Minister expressed confidence that the working visit of the Deputy
Minister Tran Quoc Khanh would be important for the deepening of relations and
cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam, especially for increasing trade and
investments.
The
import from Vietnam accounts for the majority of the Mongolia-Vietnam trade
turnover. In this regard, the Foreign Minister put forth a proposal to increase
the export of Mongolian mining products, as well as agricultural products such
as thermally processed and frozen meat and meat products.
Deputy
Minister Tran Quoc Khanh is paying a
working visit to Mongolia on August 2-5.
