Daily COVID-19 cases rise to record 2,188

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today's press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 2,188 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Mongolia after over 10,000 tests performed in the past 24 hours.

 

1,498 of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city while 683 were detected in rural regions, including Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul, Bulgan, Selenge, Khuvsgul, Khovd, Tuv, Arkhangai, Tuv, Khentii, Dornod, Dornogobi, Uvurkhangai, Bayankhongor, Uvs, Bayan-Ulgii, Zavkhan and Gobi-Altai aimags.

 

As a result, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia have reached 76,084. In the past 24 hours, 469 people have been discharged from hospital, making the number of recoveries 56,947. 


It was also reported that ten people died from COVID-19, raising the country’s death toll to 361.
