Government of Japan to confer D.Lundeejantsan with the Order of the Rising Sun, Grand Cordon

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Government of Japan April 29, 2021, today, announced that in its 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals, it will confer Mr. Lundeejantsan.D with the Order of the Rising Sun, Grand Cordon.

The Order of the Rising Sun /Kyokujitsu-shō/ established in 1875 by Emperor Meiji was the first national decoration awarded by the Government of Japan, where the Grand Gordon is the first class of the Order, which is typically awarded to foreign heads of government, chairpersons of prominent international organizations and leading politicians, business leaders and diplomats.

Incumbent senior advisor to the Chairman of the State Great Hural, D.Lundeejantsan is being conferred for his contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting inter-parliamentary exchanges between Japan and Mongolia.

Lundeejantsan Danzan served as a member of parliament for 30 years, former Vice Chairman and Chairman of the State Great Hural /Parliament/ of Mongolia. He has worked as a member of Mongolia-Japan Parliamentary Group for consecutive 20 years since 2000.
