437 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the past 24 hours

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 437 new cases of COVID-19 detected after 14,939 tests performed nationwide in the past 24 hours. It means 50 per cent increase from yesterday's, which was  the highest number of cases within a day, since the first locally confirmed case was recorded.

 

Of the newly confirmed cases, 370 were detected in Ulaanbaatar, while 67 cases were confirmed in seven aimags; Khuvsgul-5, Darkhan-Uul-6, Dornogobi-3, Tuv-26, Orkhon-18, Uvurkhangai-3 and Khentii-6.

 

As of today, the total cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 6,332.


Since the spread of COVID-19 in Mongolia, a total of 5,796 local transmission cases of COVID-19 have been recorded so far, of which 5287 were detected in Ulaanbaatar city.


In the past 24 hours, 106 people have been discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,150.

 

Currently, there are 1,462 people who are diagnosed with the virus are undergoing treatment, of which 1,243 are in mild, 194 are in serious, 18 are in critical and six are in very critical health condition.
