MoU signed to explore possibilities for student exchange programs
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolia’s Ambassador to Canada Ya. Ariunbold
witnessed the MOU signing ceremony between the Metropolitan Education
Department of Mongolia and the British Columbia Council for International
Education of Canada and delivered his remarks on the occasion of the ceremony.
Memorandum of Understanding between the Metropolitan
Education Department of Mongolia and the British Columbia Council for
International Education was signed by Mr. Gantulga Jigjidsuren, Director of MED
and Dr.Randal Martin, Executive Director of BCCIE today, January 27, at a
virtual ceremony. The purpose of this MOU is to explore possible opportunities
to implement Student Exchange Programs and to co-organize professional
development seminars and trainings.
Attending the Ceremony were H.E. Ms. Catherine Ivkoff,
Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia as well as other representatives from the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, BCCIE and MED.
MED is a local government institution that oversees the
implementation of the education policy of early childhood to K-12 education of
the Capital City of Mongolia.
BCCIE is a provincial Crown corporation that supports the
internationalization efforts of BC’s public and independent K-12 schools,
public and private colleges and universities and language schools.
