Infection cases of COVID-19 decreased by 35 percent compared to last week

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), 10 people tested positive for coronavirus after performing PCR testing on 17,646 people nationwide on January 18.


All the newly detected cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city and they were close contacts of the previously confirmed cases and also were under isolation. Thus, the confirmed cases in Ulaanbaatar city reached 709, bringing the total number of local transmission cases at 1035.


The number of infection cases of COVID-19 recorded in Mongolia decreased by 35 percent compared to last week.


As of today, Mongolia has a total of 1536 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 995 recoveries. 530 people are undergoing treatment and 28 people have made recovery in the past 24 hours.
