COVID-19: Ulaanbaatar reports 5 new cases

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health today on January 17, it was reported that 5 new cases were detected in Mongolia after testing 15,300 people nationwide within the past 24 hours.

 

Four of the five cases were close contacts of COVID-19 patients, while one case was detected from a patient that was admitted to the State Central First Hospital on January 16. No new infections were recorded in other provinces.

 

As of today, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases now stands at 1,517, with 947 recoveries.
