COVID-19: 22 new cases detected, total reaches 760

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the latest briefing of the Ministry of Health, Head of Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases A.Ambaselmaa reported that 11,929 PCR tests were performed nationwide on November 27, resulting in the detection of 22 positive cases.

 

Specifically, 5 cases were recorded in Ulaanbaatar, 10 in Selenge aimag, 2 in Darkhan-Uul aimag, and 1 in Dornogobi aimag. No new infection has been recorded in Orkhon and Gobisumber aimags in the last 24 hours. Also, 4 imported cases were recorded. It was underlined that the newly confirmed local transmission cases are all either close contacts of previously confirmed positive cases or contacts of those close contacts that had been put into quarantine.

 

As of today, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia has reached 760, of which 318 are local transmission cases. So far, 347 patients have made recovery.
