Women's Diplomatic Club hosts International Charity Fair

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Women’s Diplomatic Club at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the diplomatic missions in Ulaanbaatar, local companies and self-employed individuals organized the 20th International Charity Fair at Ulaanbaatar Hotel on October 31.


The opening of the event was attended by B.Enkh-Amgalan, spouse of the foreign Minister of Mongolia, department directors of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), and heads of diplomatic missions in Mongolia.


In their remarks during the event, Head of the Women’s Diplomatic Club S.Onon, Ambassador Turkey to Mongolia Ahmet Yazal, and Director of MFA Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation V.Oyu expressed their appreciation of the event and stressed the importance of further promoting national products and supporting businesswomen and continuing with outreach projects for vulnerable communities.


Embassies of Vietnam, Italy, Laos, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, China, India, and Japan and Delegation of the European Union promoted their culture, traditional cuisine and products to the public at the charity fair. Also, local companies, startups, self-employed individuals presented their products and projects including those launched in Mongolia through the Asia Foundation and the European Union.


The fair also presented the public with projects to furnish a kindergarten for children with disabilities in Dornogobi aimag and Mongolia’s first 'citizens’ library' and purchase equipment necessary for providing vocational training for children with disabilities, which were implemented with support from the Women’s Diplomatic Club.


The fair featured performances by The Crew Band and the Embassy of Russia in Mongolia and a show of Mongolian costumes.
