Japanese Foreign Minister pays courtesy call on Mongolian Prime Minister

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Today, the Minister of Foreign
Affairs of Japan T.Motegi, who is on an official visit at the invitation of his
Mongolian counterpart, has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister U.
Khurelsukh.
During the meeting, Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh noted that
the visit of Mr. Motegi is an evidence of the highly-developing strategic
partnership between Mongolia and Japan. The PM also expressed his satisfaction for Japanese government attaching great importance to its relations and cooperation
with Mongolia. Furthermore, he reaffirmed its commitment to expand relations
and cooperation with its ‘third neighbor’ Japan in all aspects.
For his part, Mr. Motegi congratulated Prime Minister
U.Khurelsukh on his victory in the parliamentary elections held last June and
the formation of his cabinet, while expressing confidence that the Prime
Ministers of Mongolia and Japan will keep working closely.
At the meeting, the two parties unanimously agreed that maintaining the frequency of high-level reciprocal visits and expanding trade and economic cooperation is essential for the further development of the bilateral relations and cooperation.
Mr. Khurelsukh stressed the importance of attracting Japanese investment and introducing its machinery, and technology in the industrial sector, which targets diversifying Mongolia’s economy and increasing exports.
