President Kh. Battulga makes working trip to Bayan-Ulgii

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. President Kh. Battulga worked in
Bayan-Ulgii aimag on September 20. During his working trip, President Battulga
got acquainted with the activities of the aimag’s local airport, which was
first established in 1958 and had received a status of the international airport according
to the government resolution in 1996, and conferred the Glorious Mother Orders
to 548 mothers of Bayan-Ulgii aimag.
Also, Mr. Battulga legged ‘Azat Halal’ meat factory, where its
authorities informed that it processes halal meat and meat products according
to international standards, supplies its products domestically, and further aims
to export. The President of Mongolia said that it is
possible to export halal processed meat directly from five western aimags without
transporting it to Ulaanbaatar.
Afterwards, the President saw construction works in Ulgii
soum of the aimag. Funded with the Asian Development Bank, construction works of
an 18.8-kilometer paved road with a 200-meter-long bridge alongside a flood
protection facility are underway in Ulgii soum. Being executed by three
companies, the construction process is currently at 50 percent and will be
complete in 2022. Construction of the flood protection facility is running at 83 percent.
The same day, a meeting was held with the local citizens. In
his opening speech, the President spoke about the development and
infrastructure in remote aimags of the western region and gave information on
the opportunities to increase incomes of the citizens and promote local
development as well as heard opinions of the citizens.
