Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 10, Minister of Labor and Social Protection A.Ariunzaya received Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Pavit Ramachandran.

In partnership with ADB, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is currently implementing the Skills For Employment Project in the vocational education and training sector, the Food and Nutrition Social Welfare Program and Project Additional Financing, the Ensuring Inclusiveness and Service Delivery for Persons with Disabilities Project, and the project on Building Capacity for an Effective Social Welfare System.

Noting that the Ministry is one of the main implementing organizations to take countermeasures against the COVID-19 pandemic, ADB Country Director Pavid Ramachandran expressed his wish to partner in defining the target group for social welfare.

Minister A.Ariunzaya expressed gratitude for the assistance and support being given by various donor organizations during the pandemic, and introduced government measures on the matter. “As research works have shown that social welfare and protection needs to be received by a higher percentage of the target group, we are currently working on the E-key system. By creating a single database that brings together all the information available at the government level, it will become much easier to define the demands and necessities of citizens. As a result, we will be able to bring welfare services to the target group more efficiently,” she highlighted.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed matters such as enhancing correlation between employers and the profession and skills of graduates, and possible measures that could be done for nursing home services for elders.
