Public open space area landscaping 90 percent complete

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 4, Acting Governor of the
capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar J.Batbayasgalan checked the progress of landscaping
works, that are currently 90 percent complete, in the 1,136 sq.m downtown area
near the Sukhbaatar Square. The landscaping started on the area, which was
previously used for placing billboards, in June on the capital city Governor’s
order.
Acting Governor J.Batbayasgalan noted the importance of prioritizing quality and standard compliance when creating the open public space area and that he will check again the development progress next week.
According to the Head of Urban Landscaping Department G.Erdenebaatar, 450 trees have been planted in the area and the new public garden is expected to open ahead of schedule.
