COVID-19 guidelines for schools, kindergartens under development

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its regular meeting on July 16, the Cabinet obliged corresponding ministries, agencies, and professional organizations to conduct studies and assessment on reopening all levels of educational institutions during the ongoing heightened state of readiness. Thus in correspondence with the matter, a cross-sectoral risk assessment is being done on the coronavirus infection. After becoming acquainted with the official task sent in by the working group for the development of guidelines and instructions for educational institutions during the heightened state of readiness, the team of professionals developed their proposals. Established at the order of the Deputy Prime Minister, the working group consists of representatives from various fields and sectors. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Science, National Center for Communicable Diseases, National Emergency Management Agency, State Professional Inspection Agency, General Intelligence Agency, National Police Agency, Capital City Health Department, and Governor’s Office of the Capital City were involved in the cross-sectoral risk assessment on coronavirus infections in correlation with the reopening of kindergartens, schools, and universities. The assessment will be conducted in accordance with the ‘Risk assessment methodology’ approved by the Deputy PM in 2017, and the results will be introduced to the State Emergency Commission.
