Foreign Minister Enkhtaivan meets U.S. Ambassador Michael Klecheski

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs N.Enkhtaivan today received Ambassador of the United States to Mongolia Michael Klecheski.
While stating that relations between Mongolia and the U.S. have been actively growing within strategic partnership, the two sides agreed to attach attention on activating bilateral trade and economic ties further.
Ambassador M.Klecheski noted that Mongolia is an important partner of the U.S. in Indo-Pacific region and presented some ongoing projects and initiations in bilateral cooperation.
Minister N.Enkhtaivan thanked for cooperation proposals and put forth a request on cooperating in establishment of a factory, which will produce world standard, quality export goods. The Minister also requested to work for making previously planned reciprocal visits when the appropriate time comes although it is depending on COVID-19 pandemic and to organize cooperation mechanism such as a consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in other forms.
And expressing gratitude to the U.S. side on its aid and support to Mongolia’s efforts to combat with the pandemic, the Minister asked the Ambassador to pay much-needed attention to Mongolians studying, working and living in the country and to help and encourage them.
