Aimag and soum Naadam celebrations to take place with COVID-19 safety measures

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its June 29 meeting, the organizing
committee of the Naadam Festival discussed the progress of the preparations for
the festival and addressed some issues.
The committee allowed authorities of each aimag and soum to hold their local Naadam celebrations with public attendance on July 11-12 and ordered them to organize the festivities with strict Covid-19 safety measures in place.
Preparations have been completed to organize sports tournaments of the national Naadam Festival at the 13th Century Complex in Tuv aimag in prevention of Covid-19 outbreak and broadcast the tournaments live on TV and online. It was previously decided that the main celebrations and sports tournaments except horse races, for the Naadam Festival to be organized at the 13th Century Complex, instead of central stadium in Ulaanbaatar.
