Foreign Minister congratulates Singaporean counterpart on 50th diplomatic anniversary

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, June 11, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Tsogtbaatar has sent a letter of
congratulation to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan on the occasion
of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between Mongolia and Singapore.
In his letter, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar says, “I extend my sincere congratulations to Your Excellency on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Singapore. It is a pleasure to remember that I had talks with You and exchanged valuable views on greatly important issues of economic growth and foreign relations with our Singaporean friends during my official visit as the Foreign Minister of Mongolia to your beautiful country in 2019.
Over the last 50 years, Mongolia and Singapore have successfully cooperated in political, social, economic, and educational fields and Singapore has become our trusted friend and reliable partner in Southeast Asia,"
The Minister also writes that Mongolia and Singapore have
to further intensify bilateral relations using the breadth of opportunities
ahead, while emphasizing that it is feasible for the two countries to cooperate in more fruitful ways not only bilaterally, but also internationally and
regionally.
“Cooperation and mutual support between regional countries
are crucial in this time of Covid-19. I avail myself of this opportunity to express
my deepest gratitude to Singapore for wholeheartedly supporting Mongolia in the
fight against the global pandemic.”
