Frontline health workers to be involved in rental apartment program
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The working group in charge of
providing frontline public workers with rent-to-own apartments held its third
meeting on June 4. The Cabinet on May 20 made a decision to involve frontline
public servants in a rent-to-own housing program worth MNT 100 billion to
house 1,500 public workers as a way of supporting them and put Deputy Prime
Minister U.Enkhtuvshin in charge of the working group.
At the meeting, Deputy PM U.Enkhtuvshin said that public
health workers in high-risk settings should be involved in the program first,
while stressing the importance of allowing them to choose their apartment and offering homes on terms softer than those of a regular residential mortgage program.
Head of the Capital City Housing Corporation B.Sukhbaatar
suggested holding an online event to provide the frontline public healthcare
workers with information on ready-to-occupy apartments.
The Deputy PM ordered the working group officials to work
fast and launch the program without delay as the public workers could take much
time choosing their apartments and readying the necessary documents.
