Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga yesterday evening posted an address to the nation concerning the Covid-19 pandemic on his social media pages.
“The country has been experiencing challenging times and implementing isolation policies and social distancing measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. When controlling the spread of infectious diseases in the old days, Mongolians used to enforce measures of quarantine and strict maintenance of good hygiene. Therefore, I call for the people of Mongolia to stay calm, not being overwhelmed by disinformation and fueled by hatred, and to follow the advice and guidelines being provided by medical professionals.” writes the President.
After ensuring that Mongolia has sufficient stocks of food items and petroleum products, President Kh.Battulga advised the public only to trust official media sources to stay well informed about the current situations.
He then urged people staying under quarantine to comply with rules and procedure and remain disciplined. “I would like to sincerely thank for all emergency officers, doctors, police officers, medical personnel and individuals, who are tirelessly working for the wellbeing of the whole nation”.
With his post, President Kh.Battulga also attached photos of him staying in isolation after his return from a visit to China in late February.
